Robert R. "Cap" Brown was an American football player and coach of football and basketball. He served as the head football coach at the New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, now New Mexico State University, from 1923 to 1925 and, compiling a record of 21–6–1. Brown was also the head basketball coach at New Mexico A&M from 1922 to 1926, tallying a mark of 48–31.
